SUSTAINABLE APPROACH

The core objectives are to reduce energy and water consumption, reduce harmful emissions and to create a healthy environment for all workers.

Water:

Water reduction for process optimization.
Water nozzle for floor cleaning.
Rain water harvesting.
Using push traps.

Energy:

LED lighting and renewables
Lighting energy reduction from LEDs.
Day light saving- rooftop sunlight.
G Trap system in iron line.
Servo motor for sewing machine.
Condense water recovery system.
Installed solar energy for emergency purpose.

Ecological savings:

Recycling by Bio-chemical ETP
75% of the open space is landscaped with green roof concept and tree plantation.

Air:

Comfort arrangement with air conditioning in all major working spaces
Building complies with international ventilation requirements

Heat:

Preventing heat loss and steam loss- condensate recovery and G-Trape.

Pollution control:

No smoking on the premises
Construction pollution controlled on site
No Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) products using

Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP):

A modern ETP has been installed in October 2009 for the prevention of water pollution in production surrounding area.

Capacity: 100 M3/Hr
Treatment Technique: Biochemical
Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) from 600 ppm to 60 ppm.
Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) from 1100 ppm to 150 ppm.

Fire Safety:

TURAG has taken extraordinary measures to prevent and act regarding fire safety. There are adequate smoke detection systems, fire hydrant system, adequate provision of emergency exists, a good number of Fire Doors, and installed expensive springer fire extinguisher system for the safety of workers.

SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES & PRACTICES
SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES & PRACTICES
  • Modern flat seamer type machinery.
  • Improvement processes.
  • Implementation by Industrial engineers on new ISO 9091 in every processes.
  • Proper quality management systems along with goals and output targets.

SUSTAINABILITY PLANS

  • Heat Recovery Systems from Boilers condensed hot water / EGB set with Generator Exhausts .
  • Transforming to Servo Motors from conventional Motors.
  • Rain Water harvesting.
  • Small scale Bio Gas plant.
  • Small scale recycle projects.
  • Introducing Jhut (Garments waste) Boilers (planned for immediate investments trial).
  • Introducing motion sensor LED Lights and Tap water. Upgrading latest software (Sedo Master) for better control over with Dyeing machines, evidently will reduce Water Consumptions.
  • Introducing automatic Dyes (partially) – Chemical (full) dosing and dispensing systems at dye house (planned for investment during 3rd quarter of 2021)
  • Introducing Continuous Washing / Bleaching range to reduce time thus water at pre treatment.
  • Refurbishing and upgrading all Sclavos, Monforts, Ferraro and Santex machineries.
  • Replacing old fashioned Brushing machines with latest machines.
  • Replacing old fashioned office / floors cooling systems with modern energy efficient cooling systems (planned for investment during 3rd quarter of 2021).
  • Introducing capacity Biological ETP with provision of Zero Discharge in future.
  • Building up modern warehouses particularly for compliant housekeeping of Dyes and Chemical.
